If you do not keep this new self renewed, your new self will start to manifest your old characteristics of your old self. We live in a world that can understand the concept of renewing very well because we have subscriptions, rent agreements, vehicle papers etc. that we renew annually or monthly etc. This generation does need much explanation on this but in application to human spirit; in application to your walk with God it is important to renew the new man.
