First thought by the Holy Spirit
Whenever you make a resolution in the new year, it is not waste, though it looks like a religious cliché but it is an effort to make your life better. So, resolutions are not in vain. If you haven’t taken any resolution this year, think about it. Think about what people complained about you last year; think about what you know about you last year that you wish to change. Start from the small ones, not the big ones because if you look at the big ones, you might be frustrated as the big ones may be hanging for couple of years now in your life. Make resolutions. Even if you fail after making resolutions, it is commendable because you made an effort to better your life to be a better person.
When we have the life of God, we do not have the option to fail. We want to be always in the perfect plan of God. And God’s perfect plan is not failure. If you fail, then that becomes success. In relationships, the things that hurt people, make resolution and God is your strength. Work on yourself. You are the best product ever. The scripture tells us that we are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works to go into the path, he has prearranged for us.
Now divine exposure, when it has to do with negative things your heart can beat fast. When it has to do with positive things, there is a smile on your face. And this has to do with both. You cannot expose a good thing without fixing the bad thing in it. You never get a company launching a product inviting everybody, giving free food and release a new product that is smelling, repulsive, terrible etc. Will you find any company like that? No. But some Christians want the God’s product to be like that way and make God a show piece. They want God to promote them, increase them. If God increases you with the embarrassment that is in your life, you are going to embarrass yourself some more. And God is going to increase you but the problem is if you go to the next level, then those embarrassing stuff, you will make the grace of God waste. Deal with it. Let it be exposed and be the best version of you always.
In Acts chapter five there is story of a couple who gave gifts like others give to the church. They connived to tell lie. Lying for a Christian is very dangerous. Concealing things that you need to expose to the Lord is very dangerous. You will never rise above from what you conceal from God. You will be never a better person beyond what you reveal to God. God knows everything, what are you concealing from him? If you got impure thoughts, talk to the Lord, kneel down and tell Him. If you think it is dirty, know that before you know that it is dirty, He knows it is dirty. God knows how dirty, dirty can be. Why are you concerned about the knowledge of your dirt? You are actually hiding under your shame. Don’t be ashamed. Be open to your Father and he will make you the man and woman He wants you to be.
There is second level of exposure that is deScribed in John’s gospel where Jesus’ family members told him to go and show himself to the world. He said his time has not come. There was a time for divine exposure for him. There is second level of exposure. We need to be prepared for it after the first level of divine exposure.
Don’t lie. You are too big to lie. God has made you in His image and likeness. James says can a stream flow at the same time sweet and bitter water?(James 3v11). There is no category like sweet and bitter. It is either sweet or bitter. When you behave this way, you are no where. That is why James said a double mind man is unstable in all his ways and should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. (James 1v7-8)
There are two side of life – positive and negative. Which side are you? It is a choice. Choose to speak positive things of life.
