Ephesians 3v17-18; “ that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— “ When you come to know the depth of God’s love, you will be elated and transformed. The extent of God’s love is immeasurable, incalculable, inestimable and unimaginable. You cannot quantify it. The depth of God’s love is greater than whatever you calculate. The depth of God’s love is deeper than whatever you can measure or remember. It is a privilege in our life time to know the love of God by revelation of His word through the Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 5v14; “For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; 15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again”. That love controls us. Because of the depth of God’s love, the control of God’s love is not dependent on the recipients; the control of God’s love is not dependent on the behavior of whom we have to deal with. The scripture tells us that Hosea the prophet, took his wife and his wife was a prostitute. How much a prostitute can worth? Nothing just money. But God told Hosea to take her as his wife. She didn’t stand for Hosea; she didn’t love Hosea and she did her own thing. But at the end, God spoke to Hosea to take and Hosea paid all he had to take her back.
Have you been backstabbed before? Have you been cheated before? Has someone treated you like rag? Has someone made you feel as though you amount to nothing? If they haven’t, they will soon. But do not let their treatment of you determine your treatment to them because of clear example shown by Yeshua Our Lord and master who showed immeasurable, incalculable, inestimable and unimaginable depth of God’s love. How could Hosea take his wife back? The love of God is deeper than immorality. The love is God is deeper than the deepest hurts. The love of God is greater than the greatest pain. The love of God is stronger than death. If the depth of God’s love is there in your heart, you won’t find it difficult to forgive. And if you forgive, you won’t condition it. Jesus never said to the Father that He will pray for the people and if they accept it, forgive them else destroy them. He prayed to the Father saying “Forgive them for they do not know what they are doing. In Romans 5v8, the scripture says; “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us”. Back to the Hosea, Gomer terrified the life of Hosea. And God told Hosea to take his wife. Hosea felt the pain what it is to be faithful, the pain to go through such insult where different men slept with his wife and he sees them among them and they see him and his wife. Can any hurt be deeper than that, between husband and wife? This is the same God that says in Moses’ law except for sexual immorality, a man cannot divorce his wife. Why it was not applied here though Moses law was in force during that time? Because the love of God is deeper than the deepest error, stronger than the strongest pain, the love of God is greater than law, greater than imperfection. Just imagine if God waited for us to realize that we are sinners before he died, we may have never been saved. Never wait for your loved ones to realize before you forgive and show them unconditional love of God. Will you allow God’s love to control you? Apostle Edmonds shared an incident that happened among his staff and volunteers and he was completely broken. He was disappointed. He was emotionally connected to some people. He expected them to stand for the Lord in the situation that happened among our staff. And they did not stand to the test put before them for some reasons. And He felt ashamed of himself and felt embarrassed. He kept thinking. But God settled him down. God made him to realize that nothing is deeper than His love. He allowed Father to fill his heart and he started to see that connection again. Love people because God’s love is in your heart. And it is conditioned to be unconditional. Don’t you think Jesus was hurt when Peter denied Him three times? Jesus faced denial, character assassination, blackmail, name calling, rejection etc., yet he refused the flow of God’s love to be stopped for you. He prayed for us. Roman 8v3; “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Apostle Paul by revelation of the Holy Spirit gave us the gallery and depth of God’s wisdom and that is why we feed from today the thoughts of the Holy Spirit given to Apostle Paul. The scripture says what can separate us from God’s love. God’s love is not just a surface walk. When you walk in the depth of God’s love, the pain is deep but the glory is deeper; honor is deeper, the power is greater. In John chapter Jesus asked Peter three times “Do you love me?” Today don’t keep anything in your heart. Swing in the love of God. Flow His love to the people around you. They deserve God’s love not because of what they have done but because how God values them. Your suffering cannot be compared with glory of God that will follow.
